With this album RJ brings forth some outstandingly smooth 70's funkish instrumental work, bringing together unique samples into an interestingly urban soundscape. An original and identifiable sound that truly makes an argument for artistry in DJ style music as opposed to the belief that it's just cut and paste dance music. Personal favorite track on this album would be Solomon Jones.
Much thanks to the wife and Pandora for introducing me to this one.
For those into TV, I even hear one of the tracks is used for the show Mad Men.
